A hot and busy Summer is upon us at the 100 Mile House Food Bank, the number of recipients in the area continues to increase.
AS SUCH THE 100 MILE HOUSE FOOD BANK IS IN NEED OF MORE VOLUNTEERS.
A few things to bear in mind if you would like to volunteer.
- You need to commit to at least one day a week for 4 hours.
- Be able to lift at least fifty pounds.
THERE HAVE BEEN SOME COMMENTS AND CONCERNS THAT THE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ARE PAID TO OPERATE THE 100 MILE FOOD BANK, NO ONE THAT WORKS AT THE 100 MILE FOOD BANK IS PAID.
The 100 Mile House Food Bank would like to acknowledge the efforts of the staff at the BC Liquor Store for their work during their Spring 2024 Food Bank Campaign. The 100 Mile House Food Bank as a result has received a generous donation of $436.00. We would like to express our gratitude to the BC Liquor Distribution Branch for their continued support in the fight against hunger.
